Blencoe Falls
I had a drive from Mission Beach up to Blencoe Falls and camped out up there yesterday. Officially, the road from the coast is still closed according to the signs but there was nothing much in the way of obstacles. Sure the road is a bit bumpier than it used to be and there are a few washouts but they're only for the first 20km (out of 64km) so it's nothing to write home about. Anyway, there was nobody there but me (and unofficially, my dog) so it was perfect peace and quiet under the stars and to top it off there was more water going over the falls than I've seen up there before.
